World Soil Day

Today is World Soil Day. An important day and an important topic for us. Because we know: Balanced soil is a source of food, a guarantor of income and a climate protector all at the same time.

Soils that are used sustainably in agriculture are excellent carbon sinks and provide long-term food and income security. In our projects, we do everything we can to make degraded soils fertile again. And we do this in a natural way.

That is why the young people at the training camp in Ballingho, Gambia, and also the farming families in the far northeast of Ghana are saying: compost, compost, compost! After all, compost is not called „the gardener’s gold“ for nothing.
