Development cooperation. We support entrepreneurial initiatives that create local jobs. Local jobs of the sort that allow people to remain in control of what they do and what they produce, and to reap the rewards of their efforts. Our activities are guided by the deeply held belief that people can and will change terrible living conditions only when personally motivated to do so, through private enterprise.
We ensure professional management of the foundation’s projects through all stages, from planning to implementation, to ongoing governance, to subsequent assessment. We see people in the developing countries as our partners rather than as simply the recipients of aid. The focus is on their business initiatives. We work hand in hand with them. Together, we develop plans, we support their initiatives financially with loans, and finally, together, we and they put their initiatives into practice and assess the results.
